Now that it's over, i would like to get peoples thoughts on the final. Imo i think we(England) were robbed as we scored a blatent try which was disallowed. It was a good match and both teams played well, but England got some bad calls by the ref and unfortunatly lost

So thoughts and opinions?

Our neighbours got drunk and threw rocks at our window, so maybe England should have won.

I didn't watch the match, I don't really care for sports, so I can't comment on the win, or loss to England supporters, but I can say I dislike fans. Or, more acurately, fanatics.

Heard it was a somewhat boring game. I do beleive they should have been allowed that first try, but the ball rolled in the wrong direction. Would have like England to win, they had alot of heart and determination through the tournament. Lol @ lineouts :P

It wasn't a try. I saw the definitive video evidence after the game; his foot was JUST in touch. A pity, but to be honest the better team won.

Johnny Wilkinson had a really bad game imo. Victor Matfield and Bakkies Botha have been playing together for ages, and they rule line-outs.

I'm kinda disappointed, this RWC was a showcase for boring rugby.

Teams tried to play it safe to advance in the tournament. And some of the bigger teams (*points finger at New Zealand*) got pwnd because of it. Yea the pass to Michalak was forward when they played France, but they choked, and didn't deserve to win.

I also believe we (South Africa) had a pretty easy run to the final.

I heard the actual ref to the France vs New Zealand game got death threats from it. I wouldn't be surprised because frankly that was such a poor decision on the ref.
But a lot of games were disappointing (Australia vs England) when everyone thought that Australia would have won and you see them play and they were a joke. In all, it was a bad world cup when you were watching the semi finals and finals match that are meant to be the "big event"

Boring game, penalty's everywhere. I don't disagree with many of the decisions, I just found it boring that it was how many points were scored :].
